Deacon Tyson Coulverson

As servants of God the Deacon's ministry of the Unity Baptist Church will strive for excellence in service for God, the Ministry, and the local congregation. For purposes of aiding/assisting the Pastor, spiritual growth, and visitation.

 Deaconess

Deaconess Janice Evans

Assist the Pastor in promoting the Spiritual life of the church for Christian service. Prepare the ordinances of the church such as Communion and Baptism. Support and promote the Spiritual Vision of the Pastor. Give wise counsel in knowledge and ways of the Lord and be role models for women and young ladies within the church and community as we follow the Lord.

Trustees of Unity Baptist Church support the ministry of the church:

• By giving oversight to maintenance and care of church properties
• Managing fiscal operations
• Serving as legal custodians
• Promoting the unity of the Body of Christ at Unity Baptist Church

Greeters

The Greeters Ministry creates a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, whether a member or visitor, as people enter for worship, with kind welcoming words, a smile and hand shake.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry is the avenue that ushers in the presence of God. A spirit of worship is created whereas the Holy Spirit moves through the congregation and everyone begins to experience Christ on a personal level.

 

Nurse's Ministry

The Nurse’s Ministry provides for the comfort and well-being of the church members and guests.  The Ministry strives to promote and advance better health awareness.

Men's Ministry

To bring men into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
To unite men in Bible Study, prayer, ministry, fellowship and accountability.
To become a supportive environment that touches the lives of the entire church family.
To promote mentoring opportunities that lead to significant vital relationships.
To become a magnet for service and a resource for other church ministries and missions.
To provide a series of events that will promote fellowship, outreach and evangelism.

Esther Women Ministry

To reach, encourage, empower, educate, and build Christ like relationships with women inside and outside the walls of Unity Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Minister Jessica McBroom

Mission:  Uplifting youth in a way that leads them to accept who they are in Christ.
To be an Out-of-the-Box ministry focus on up-reach in our worship, in-reach through fellowship, and outreach through missions, and service to our community. To be a ministry not solely focused on the children of the Unity Baptist Church, but to reach every child in our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Christian Education

The Sunday School Ministry teaches about God’s love, how to read the bible and how to love our brothers and sisters as Christ loves us. Goal is to teach purposefulness in words that lift and encourage the body of Christ, because we love Him.

New Disciples

Our mission is to provide believers with a basic understanding of the Word of God and to lead people into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children's Church

Designed to present age appropriate worship experience for children between
ages 3 through 12.
Introduce young people to accept Jesus as their Savior, Forgiver and Friend.
Weekly providing young people with an avenue for spiritual growth with Bible reading, singing, puzzles and games about the love of Jesus Christ.

Missionary Ministry

Evangelism Ministry

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

Our goal for the Unity Family is to become a committed dedicated church of Jesus Christ praying always in the spirit – taking all of our concerns to God with Thanksgiving.He is the only one who has the power and wisdom to deal with every issue perfectly.When we stay on our knees – we can stand before anyone or anything knowing that we are submitted to the One who always works in our best interest. We know we have absolutely nothing to fear.
 

Culinary Ministry

This ministry offers a variety of several things such as providing delicious quality foods, setting up and maintaining and servicing food in and from the kitchen to our community and our church members at any time on a moment’s notice.

Food Pantry
Judy Clanagan
Our Food Pantry serves as an outreach program staffed by volunteers within the church, who assist families and individuals in need of food to help them prepare healthy balanced meals. Our staff not only provides food, but gives it in a spirit of love, respect, and kindness to all who enter through our doors, and we respond to God’s love.
